How to monetize your voice

You might not be aware of this, but your voice is very valuable. Well particularly if you have a nice, pleasant, calm, easy-to-listen to voice. But if you think you don’t, perhaps record something on your phone, listen to it, think about how it sounds and then ask someone else what they think of your voice (play the recording to them).

So seriously, how can I make money from my voice? Well, the good news is, there is more than one way to do it!

Here are some examples (in no particular order of importance):

• Become an Audiobook narrator in ACX

• Create your own Audiobooks and sell them on Audible, Amazon and iTunes

• Record voiceovers for others on Freelancer or on Fiverr (search voiceover jobs)

• Create a Podcast and monetize it

• Setup your own store on Gumroad and start selling Audiobooks or audio creations such as how-to guides, etc.

• Setup a Patreon page with premium content for your followers and supporters

• Build an Audio Newsletter with Substack by utilising the Podcast functionality and turning it into paying-subscriber only episodes or posts

• Become a voiceover artist with Bunny Studio Pro

• Start your voiceover career with Voices

• Explore opportunities with Voice123
